Gemma believes there is nothing more rewarding than supporting clients to evidence their true potential and to provide a real life, accurate appraisal of needs.
We possess a wealth of experience in Occupational Therapy across most specialist areas of adult need. Having a background in Catastrophic Case Management our experience includes working with clients overseas, knowledge of international processes, the military, and private sector services.
We are experienced in Expert Witness reporting in the areas of personal injury and clinical negligence. We also have a wealth of experience dealing with legal professionals and the litigation system.
Having extensive background in vocational rehab and commercial consultancy, Gem OT is dedicated to supporting individuals with work related needs. Whether it be exploring the employment industry with a disability for the first time, navigating employment disputes with a disability need, supporting redirection after a change in needs, or consulting on a sustainable workforce, Gem OT is adept with all occupational health matters.
As a mum and main carer to family members with complex health needs, Gemma has a personal understanding to her work. Her lived experiences have empowered her to forge her way into independent practice to assist in the transformation of client centred occupational therapy, without barriers.
For continued professional development, Gemma maintains a clinical workload providing occupational therapy directly into specialist neurological rehabilitation services on a weekly basis and works with wider multidisciplinary services.
Beyond occupational therapy, she enjoys family time, mastering gluten free baking! engagement in charity events, and being a champion to helping others develop to their fullest potential.
