Our therapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and are members of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).

3. Services Provided

We provide professional occupational therapy services including, but not limited to:

  • Workplace or home environment assessments
  • Equipment and adaptation recommendations

All services are provided in accordance with UK professional and ethical standards.

4. Appointments and Cancellations

Appointments can be booked directly with us by phone, email, or through our website (if available).

We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee based on the full hourly rate.
  • Missed appointments without notice (“Did Not Attend”) may be charged in full.

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments in the event of illness, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and rearrange at your convenience.

5. Fees and Payment

Fees for our services will be confirmed prior to booking and may vary depending on the type and duration of the service.

Payment is due no later than 30 days from the date of the invoice. We accept payment via:

  • Bank transfer
  • Credit/Debit card
  • Cheque

If your session is funded by a third party (e.g., insurer, solicitor, or case manager), you remain responsible for any unpaid balance should the third party fail to pay.

6. Reports and Documentation

Reports, assessments, or recommendations provided by our therapists remain the intellectual property of GEM OT LTD until payment is received in full.

All reports are based on the professional opinion of the therapist at the time of assessment and are intended for the specific purpose stated. They must not be altered or shared with third parties without our written consent.

7. Confidentiality and Data Protection

We handle all personal and health information in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Your information will be kept strictly confidential and only shared with your consent or when required by law (e.g., safeguarding concerns).

8. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information relevant to your assessment and treatment.
  • Inform us promptly of any changes to your health, medications, or circumstances that may affect therapy.
  • Follow safety and professional guidance provided by your therapist.

We reserve the right to discontinue services if safety, ethical, or professional boundaries are compromised.

9. Limitation of Liability

While we take all reasonable care and act in accordance with professional standards, GEM OT LTD is not liable for:

  • Any indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our services.
  • The actions or omissions of third parties (e.g., equipment suppliers or external contractors).

Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the service in question, unless otherwise required by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be legally excluded.

10. Website Use

When using our website, you agree not to:
